In a renovated traditional Slovenian house, our holiday apartments are surrounded by picturesque views and superb walking country in an area rich with summer and winter activities for the whole family.
We offer a perfect base for intrepid explorers and a peaceful haven for relaxation. We chose the house for its ideal location in a tranquil village surrounded by beautiful scenery, yet just 1.8 km from the busy tourist resort of Bled. In the village there are two excellent "local" restaurants, a restaurant in a big hotel and a small shop and bakery that sells basic provisions.
The house has a lawned garden, with pleasant spaces for eating out, relaxing in the sun, or chilling out with a glass of wine after a day’s activities.
There are 3 apartments: one with 2 bedrooms, boasting balconies with exceptional views and the others with 1 bedroom, one having its own private access directly onto the garden and terrace. Each apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday, including multi-channel TV, DVD player, books, travel guides, maps, free WiFi internet connection and fully equipped kitchens.
Getting around is easy from our apartments. If you enjoy walking or cycling, lots of astounding routes start right from our door. For the more adventurous the Julian Alps provides hiking and biking opportunities at all levels of difficulty. To go further afield public transport from Bled is excellent. Alternatively, car hire is available in the town or at the airport. There are coach tours to many tourist attractions. If you have a car, there is easy access to the main AutoRoute and all the many attractions of Slovenia. You are also only about 30 minutes away from Italy and Austria.
Try swimming in Lake Bled in summer, or biking, canoeing, rafting, pony-trekking, fishing, golf, mountaineering and much, much more. This beautiful country also offers many sightseeing opportunities including the Julian Alps and the famous Triglav National Park as well as many places of historical and cultural interest.
Centrally placed for the six major ski resorts accessed with the Bohinj lift pass, our holiday apartments are ideally placed for those who enjoy variety in their skiing holiday. After heavy snowfall, a cross-country skiing trail is marked out linking our and other villages to Bled.
If golf is your thing, the 18 hole Kings Golf Course at Bled is believed to be one of the most beautiful in the world, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
For young children there is plenty to do, with lots of playgrounds and plenty of opportunities for mixing sunshine with water, either in rivers and lakes or swimming pools.
Also, for those not tied to school holidays, spring and autumn are beautiful times in Slovenia, ideal for rambling the many way-marked routes.

Or you can get a flight to Venice then drive across Northern Italy via Trieste into Slovenia, taking about 2.5 hours to Bled. For European travellers there are excellent auto-routes all the way to Slovenia.
We are a retired English couple who discovered Lake Bled in 2006 when returning from a caravan holiday in Montenegro and Croatia. We liked the country and its people so much that we came back and bought a house. We were still working in the UK at this time, so we renovated the house, divided it into 3 separate apartments and entered the holiday rental business. In 2010 when we retired, we continued the rental business as a source of income. During our years of renting we have been privileged to be hosts to lots of wonderful people, from all over the world. We hope you will visit our apartments soon!
John and Elaine Pearson purchased this apartment in 2007
We looked all over Slovenia for a property then chose this house because of its fantastic views and its location close to Bled but within a village community rather than the anonymity of a tourist resort.
Fantastic views, easy access to routes around Slovenia, close to Bled and its Lake, superb walks on the doorstep ..........
this apartment is in a pleasant residential area in the village of ribno.I was pleasantly surprised with the level of comfort decoration and fit out of the apartment as i felt the web photographs did not do it justice.location is excellent for walking and cycling and is convenient to so many amenities for outdoor pursuits.in short i loved ribno and slovenia and i cant wait to go back.there also a lovely pub and restaurant 2 mins down the road. views are spectacular and it was lovely to be woken by the church bells and the cock crowing in the morning.this apartment is in the midst of such spectacular natural surroundings and will appeal to those who appreciate natural beauty and village life.i look forward to revisiting ribno next year.it has made a huge impression on me
We were two adults and a child staying in this two bedroom "Apartment Balkon". It's the top floor of a lovely "alpine cottage" with balconies and stunning views. Below us was another two bedder and below that a single bedder. On arrival we were met by the owners representative Wendy who explained everything and provided much local advice. The apartment was very clean and tidy, plenty spacious enough for us, with a lovely bathroom. Although we always ate out there is a kitchenette, and downstairs a washing machine. There is a church in the village and its chiming every 15 minutes is very quaint ! The village has a couple of nice local restaurants and up the road is a hotel serving great buffets! There is also a local grocery store in the village which we only found on our last day but it is excellent. Bled is close by, a 10 minute drive through great countryside and small villages. The owners were in UK but maintained excellent communications.
Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend this accommodation.
This was our second stay in this property and again it didn't disappoint. The apartment is extremely well equipped and very comfortable, with great views from the balcony. In our opinion, it is a major plus being just outside Bled in the lovely hamlet of Ribno. It is easy to get into Bled and all its many attractions by car, bike or foot, but the location also provides a quieter and more authentic experience of rural Slovenia. Another great experience.
This was our first trip to Slovenia and it did not disappoint. The roads were easy to navigate. English widely spoken. People incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming.
There are many walks from the apartment which were very enjoyable.
Lake Bled was in reality as stunningly beautiful as the many images of this location would suggest. Rowing on the lake to the island or walking around the lake was fun and relaxing. The riverside cafe culture in the Capital was charming. Lake Bohinj an easy drive away. Emerald rivers, beautiful lakes, scenic drives, gorges, caves, mountains, waterfalls, castles - there really was so much to see and do. The 18 hole crazy golf course in Bled was also a lot of fun and provided many challenging holes which
For those who enjoy being active outdoors in the midst of spectacular scenery then Slovenia is fantastic with hiking, biking and water sports in plentiful supply. Equally it is a very relaxing and inspirational location especially if you enjoy photography or drawing.
John & Elaine are wonderfull owner, friendly people and very discreet.
The appartment is very nice, well decorated, clean. quite, with washmachine but a Little small for 4 adults. The apartment is very close to Bled. The landscapes from the appartment are very beautifull. We spend a very nice time there
We were traveling with our college aged son and this apartment was perfect for the 3 of us. Beds were comfortable and living area worked out great as well as the kitchen convenience. The views were picturesque and the town was close to Bled but nice to be away from the main town. Bled itself is beautiful! John and Elaine were very helpful and accommodating and answered all our questions and even left a loaf of bread for our welcome. Thanks for sharing your home. Jim Karen and Sean

Many consider it to be one of the most beautiful courses in Europe. Suitable for beginners yet offering challenge to experienced and professional golfers. There are 2 courses; the 18 hole King's Course and the 9 hole Lake Course.
There is also a driving range and a pitch and put green. The course is in an ideal setting used for many tournaments and other events.
