In a renovated traditional Slovenian house, our holiday apartments are surrounded by picturesque views and superb walking country in an area rich with summer and winter activities for the whole family.
We offer a perfect base for intrepid explorers and a peaceful haven for relaxation. We chose the house for its ideal location in a tranquil village surrounded by beautiful scenery, yet just 1.8 km from the busy tourist resort of Bled. In the village there are two excellent "local" restaurants, a restaurant in a big hotel and a small shop and bakery that sells basic provisions.
The house has a lawned garden, with pleasant spaces for eating out, relaxing in the sun, or chilling out with a glass of wine after a day’s activities.
There are 3 apartments: one with 2 bedrooms, boasting balconies with exceptional views and the others with 1 bedroom, one having its own private access directly onto the garden and terrace. Each apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday, including multi-channel TV, DVD player, books, travel guides, maps, free WiFi internet connection and fully equipped kitchens.
Getting around is easy from our apartments. If you enjoy walking or cycling, lots of astounding routes start right from our door. For the more adventurous the Julian Alps provides hiking and biking opportunities at all levels of difficulty. To go further afield public transport from Bled is excellent. Alternatively, car hire is available in the town or at the airport. There are coach tours to many tourist attractions. If you have a car, there is easy access to the main AutoRoute and all the many attractions of Slovenia. You are also only about 30 minutes away from Italy and Austria.
Try swimming in Lake Bled in summer, or biking, canoeing, rafting, pony-trekking, fishing, golf, mountaineering and much, much more. This beautiful country also offers many sightseeing opportunities including the Julian Alps and the famous Triglav National Park as well as many places of historical and cultural interest.
Centrally placed for the six major ski resorts accessed with the Bohinj lift pass, our holiday apartments are ideally placed for those who enjoy variety in their skiing holiday. After heavy snowfall, a cross-country skiing trail is marked out linking our and other villages to Bled.
If golf is your thing, the 18 hole Kings Golf Course at Bled is believed to be one of the most beautiful in the world, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
For young children there is plenty to do, with lots of playgrounds and plenty of opportunities for mixing sunshine with water, either in rivers and lakes or swimming pools.
Also, for those not tied to school holidays, spring and autumn are beautiful times in Slovenia, ideal for rambling the many way-marked routes.

For European travellers there are excellent auto-routes all the way to Slovenia.
We are a retired English couple who discovered Lake Bled in 2006 when returning from a caravan holiday in Montenegro and Croatia. We liked the country and its people so much that we came back and bought a house. We were still working in the UK at this time, so we renovated the house, divided it into 3 separate apartments and entered the holiday rental business. In 2010 when we retired, we continued the rental business as a source of income. During our years of renting we have been privileged to be hosts to lots of wonderful people, from all over the world. We hope you will visit our apartments soon!
John and Elaine Pearson purchased this apartment in 2007
We looked all over Slovenia for a property then chose this house because of its fantastic views and its location close to Bled but within a village community rather than the anonymity of a tourist resort.
Fantastic views, easy access to routes around Slovenia, close to Bled and its Lake, superb walks on the doorstep ..........
We had a great holiday in Bled and the apartment was well equipped and nicely decorated.
We would come back!
The apartment is close to Bled, a scenic city in the northwest of Slovenia. Its location, relatively close to the highway, allows exploring the country easily. Most interesting locations are less than 2 hours away from Ribno by car.
The accommodation is on the ground floor of a 3 apartments house and has access to a garden shared among the three floors. It also has access to a gazebo, as the name indicates. It is very well furnished and fully equipped (oven, microwave, dishwasher, Internet access, media center, fireplace). A washing machine is accessible in the house and a barbecue is shared in the garden. Parking spaces are available in front of the house.
The reservation process was easy and the owners answered quickly our questions. We did not have to request help from the person in charge of the apartment locally, but felt she was very helpful.
We stayed there for one week and we truly enjoyed all aspects of our stay.
This area is renowned for its beautiful and spectacular scenery and the wide range of outdoor activities available. Lake Bled is surrounded by mountains, has an island you can visit by pletna to explore its seventeenth century church. The medieval castle sits on a rock high above the lake.
