The Palacio de Hualle is a 17th Century estate and offers three separate, independant houses for holiday rental.
The "Palacio", the main manor house, has six bedrooms and is perfect for groups of ten or twelve people. The Chapel House or Casa Capilla immediately adjacent to the Palacio, has three bedrooms and is great for a group of six people. The Gatehouse, or "Casa de la Portalada", has two bedrooms and is perfect for a family of four. All the houses are comfortable and attractive and are furnished with easy sofas and antiques.
The beautiful, large 17thC "Palacio" or villa-manor house is very elegant, and has been fully renovated to provide an unforgettable summer holiday rental on the green northern coast of Spain. The estate includes a vast park and gardens and a lovely little chapel. The big, beautifully decorated living room with fireplace and the dining room for twelve will provide the perfect setting for a gathering of family or friends. There are five spacious bedrooms as well as a study- bedroom, a small dining and several terraces, balconies and patios to enjoy the lovely views of green hills and fields with horses grazing nearby. A stream flows at the edge of the property where locals sometimes fish trout. Both the Chapel House and The Gatehouse are also lovely, spacious houses with views and outdoor seating areas.
Shops and restaurants with excellent seafood, local vegetables, meats are within walking distance from our village. Beautiful beaches are a 15 min drive away as are picturesque villages of Comillas and Santillana del Mar. One can hike on ancient Roman Road in nearby hills, climb in Picos mountains, canoe in Sella River.
Opera at Palacio de Hualle:
Opera Palacio de Hualle (Noches Líricas del Palacio de Hualle) is held over two days in August. A beautiful concert in the covered patio of the Palacio, followed by a reception with a cocktail buffet and wines and sherry sponsored by Gonzalez Byass, producers of Tío Pepe pale dry sherry. Opera Palacio de Hualle is part of the Santander International Festival, one of the oldest and most prestigious summer festivals in Spain. The stonework of the tower and arches of the 17th C Palacio de Hualle serve as a beautiful backdrop for this exceptional and exclusive evening that celebrates chamber opera, Cantabrian countryside while opening to the public this beautiful manor house.

Located in tiny village of Hualle, a hamlet of about 25 traditional village houses. It is extremely peaceful. Nonetheless, well stocked shops are within walking distance.
