About this property

Home away from home in scenic coastal Alaskan rainforest

Come stay at the Breadline Bluff Lodging and share a stunning view with ravens, bald eagles, and more!

The Breadline Bluff is a stretch of coastline 20 miles north of downtown Juneau, Alaska, and 12 miles north of the Juneau airport (personal transportation is recommended). This “out-the-road” location means you’ll enjoy peace and quiet in one of the Juneau area’s most favorable micro-climates (ie least rainy!) and also be perfectly situated for hiking, camping, fishing, or boating adventures in one of our state parks or the Tongass National Forest.

Our restful waterfront house is perched on a wooded lot and features beach access, a covered wrap-around deck, firepit, grill, and all the comforts of home (laundry, full stove, television and high-speed internet).

The master bedroom has a queen bed with attached bathroom, a view of the ocean and private entrance onto the covered wrap-around deck. The east bedroom has an option of two extra-long twin beds or a king-sized bed. Also available- cots, air mattresses and a twin fold-out for extra sleepers!

Local host will be happy to provide local tips.

Call or email Alice with any questions or for additional photos, and booking information. Pets may be welcome on approval. With our apologies, house is not wheelchair accessible.

Perfect spot!
Great view! The place was clean when we arrived and Alice was super friendly and helpful. Perfect distance from town where food, entertainment, and groceries were convenient. Everything you need for cooking was provided in the kitchen. Many things to do and see in the area. We would highly recommend and visit again!

Cabin in the woods
Love the location. Couldn't get enough of the quiet nights listening to the waves and salmon jumping while out in the back deck.

Pure Bliss
Everything good comment you read in the reviews is on point and very true. Alice and Bill are welcoming hosts with a great set up for those who want a peaceful place to stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the house is clean, and the views are impeccable. We'd definitely stay again and again.

Fantastic value
The propertywas outstanding. The view was unforgettable and we saw half a dozen bald eagles every day. Kitchen has everything you need, plus lots more. Best of all was the beautiful and carefully thought out amenities—the library of books was amazing, the piano and guitar welcome treats. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
