About Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager

I've lived in the Custer area for 13 years and am a South Dakota native. After living out of state for 18 years, I returned to South Dakota for a more peaceful life.

Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager chose Black Hills

I vacationed in the Custer area as a child, and returned to it because I've found the Custer area to be the perfect blend of rustic country living, beautiful scenery and friendly people. The town of Custer has all the shopping, restaurants and entertainment that anyone could possibly need without the frenzy of fast food, Walmarts and traffic that frazzle city folks lives.

What makes this cabin unique

I love this cabin's location, near Custer State Park and Wind Cave National park. Just 1.5 mile east is the back entrance to Wind Cave Park at an area where you can generally find herds of Buffalo and Elk. The cabin itself is very private as it is not visible from the road. Near dusk and dawn you can sometimes see elk at the front of the property near the creek area.

Beautiful cabin near Wildlife Loop

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience at Beaver Creek Cabin - perfect for our family vacation with young children. I highly recommend going to Wildlife Loop around 6, followed by dinner at Blue Bell Lodge. Was easy to meet family at our reunion at Sylvan Lake and a pretty drive to Deadwood.

Great place in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This is a terrific place to spend a vacation. The property is situated at the intersection of Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park and the Black Hills National Forest. While the cabin is secluded and very private, it still is a convenient distance from Hot Springs, Jewel Cave, Mount Rushmore, and Hill City. On or near the property we saw deer, bison, turkey, and prairie dogs. We grilled out every night with a terrific view of the hills to the south. The cabin itself is very well appointed and comfortable. There was so much room to spread out and relax in this sunlight gem. After fun-filled days of hiking and sight-seeing, we spent evenings watching movies and playing foosball and billiards. Jody has a fantastic property. Our family of five had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return.

The cabin's size accommodate our family. The comfort of your own home in the hills.

Everyone enjoyed having their own beds! The children loved the foosball and pool table.

We had a huge selection of board games to play. Two of us hung a hammocks in the trees and relaxed. It was the perfect spot for our Easter tradition to be with family and friends. Thank you, Jody

Great remote, quiet and private location!

  • 5 of 5

This quaint cabin in the woods has everything you could ask for and more. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life come here. The only noise you will hear will be the woodpeckers, the stream and the wind through the pine trees.
