Lovely cottage!

The flat was lovely and well located. Easy walking distance to shops and the harbor. Would definitely consider staying again on my next trip to Anstruther.

Great location. Good size with plenty of room for family of 4. Very clean and brilliantly equipped.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely stay in this property, brilliantly located for exploring and visiting the costal area of Fife, distilllieries, golf, history, St Andrews and great places to eat. Something for everyone . Great seaside feel. Kids loved the short walk to buy ice cream from Anstruther harbour. Fresh Crab and lobster from Crail were a super treat.

Apartment was really well presented and just as good as the photos predicted. The space was great for our family of four (with teenager) allowing everyone the opportunity for their own space as well as family fun. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped meaning that we could seriously cook when we wanted to.

Beds super comfy, en suite a bonus for two bed property too.

Whole property spotless. Spot on for us.

Will definately consider the property in Elie too.

Lovely ground floor apartment .....well positioned in Anstruther just off the front.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely apartment, very comfortable and well equipped. Owners is an artist and her pictures adorn the walls adding wonderfully bright aspect which cheers all the rooms. Owner was very responsive to my enquiries and keen to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. All amenities are within walking distance and plenty of little restaurants with good quality food. It is always a bonus when you have personal parking which this apartment has......with plenty of street parking too. I can recommend this for a holiday.

Nothing 'fishy' about this Seaside Property

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on a bleak Thursday afternoon to walk in to a welcoming wall of heat. the owner had thoughtfully advanced the heating for our visit. the Property was super- spacious, very comfortable and finished to a very specification. We wanted for nothing. it is also extremely well situated for exploring the area, including the best fish and chip shop in Scotland. We would certainly have no hesitation in staying here again, if coming to this area. I would recommend it 100%

Spacious accommodation let down by poor maintenance

  • 1 of 5

Having rented many times all over Scotland, we were disappointed with this property. We don't mind putting waste bins/recycle bins out for collection, but it is unreasonable to ask that you take your rubbish/recycling to the tip. The en-suite shower and the wall shower in the bathroom did not work, and the over-bath shower screen was broken. The owners were informed of these points but did not respond to our texts other than to tell us that the rubbish tip was in the next village. The skirting boards were quite dirty, especially in the en-suite which appeared to have been re-plastered recently, having dark grey walls. There was quite a build up of dust in the adjoining bedroom near the wardrobe and in the living room under the sofa. The beds were odd - 2 singles zipped together is not unusual, but covered by 2 single duvets makes them weird. The "single" duvets would not cover feet and shoulders at the same time - this on someone who is 5ft 2ins! Having seen the attractions we had come to see (it is a lovely area) we left before the end of the rental period.

Owner's Response: Not a very fair review. We responded immediately when we were told about the water problem, my husband was over within a few hours to try and resolve the problem, it turned out that there was an external drainage issue which was sorted the next day (Sunday). I have passed your comments about the dust to our housekeeper. The 're-plastered' walls are actually, Moroccan Tadelakt and in our (and most of our guests) view is a stylish alternative to traditional tiles in bathrooms. Sorry, you didn't like the beds, our first complaint about them in 6 years.
