Cozy House with Lots of Room within Walkable Distance to Canal Park

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I just got back from a weekend trip to Park Pointe Island, Duluth and had an amazing time. We arrived Friday night to find the house cute and clean with large communal rooms, perfect for several couples or a large family. The house is within easy walking distance of Canal Park, which we took advantage of both Friday and Saturday night to check out the restaurants, distilleries, and breweries. It is also about 100 yards from the entrance to the Lake Superior side beach access, which was perfect for a late afternoon walk in the sand.

Aside from the perfect amenities, Heather was flexible with our reserved date when my husband's grandfather passed suddenly a short time before our original stay. She allowed me to change the weekend of our stay without any additional charges with only a week's notice.

I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonable accommodation close to Canal Park and/or on the beautiful Park Pointe Island. My friends and I will definitely be staying there again in the future.

wonderful week

  • 5 of 5

5 adults, 2 children had a great stay. The house is very roomy, well equipped and close to beach. Grandkids - 4 and 5 yrs old - looked for rocks, feathers, driftwood on beach and watched ships come in. Playground right across street. Adults kicked backed and relaxed. Took a harbor cruise, a ride on the train, did some shopping and took a day trip to the Soudan Underground mine in Tower, MN. The weather was great and we really enjoyed the house and it's amenities. Thanks so much, Heather and Steve!

Lovely home

  • 5 of 5

The home was exactly as pictured. Truly just over the dunes from the lake! We had plenty of room and never felt on top of each other. The house had everything we needed and more. Duluth is a great city! Easy to get around Canal Park is great for shopping and dining and easy walking distance from the house. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Nothing Short of Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this house was for five nights in mid-August. There were four adults and four children. There are many reasons this property has so many five star reviews. To start, the communication was excellent. All questions were answered in a matter of a couple of hours at the longest and the question I had once at the house was answered via text in a matter of minutes. The owners want you to enjoy your stay an be as comfortable as possible. The house itself is kept in immaculate condition. Once inside there are instructions for getting to the beach, utilizing the grill, running the dishwasher, and guides for various restaurants and activities in Duluth. Everything is cleaned and in working order and the walls are freshly painted. The bedrooms are more spacious than the pictures depict and the beds are comfortable. The living room is large and the kitchen is kept in clean working order. Our kids loved the Foosball table At no point in our stay did we feel cramped. We loved the character of the house and my wife exclaimed after being inside for five minutes she would not mind living there. The walk to Lake Superior is quite short and the beach was wonderful for swimming, playing, and watching boats come into and leave the harbor. I loved every aspect of this house, it's location, and the amenities offered. I would definitely recommend this property if you are visiting the Duluth area.

Summer in Duluth!

  • 5 of 5

We are so thankful and happy that we were able to rent the Minnesota Point Beach House 2. The accomodations were perfect and fit our needs very well. Heather was fabulous to work with and once we met her, we absolutely knew that we had found a gem! This home is generous in size and Heather and Steve have it filled with any and everything you could need. There were more than enough kitchen supplies, bedding, and towels for the beach to keep everyone in our family happy! We arrived and that evening Duluth experienced the most powerful summer storm in history! We were very fortunate that we still had power and that there was no damage to the house. The only thing we lost...was the major television stations in town...but then everyone in the area also lost tv and so much more. It was reassuring to know that we were able to communicate with Heather by text to let her know how the house stood the storm. We are looking forward to coming back to Duluth and renting from Heather and Steve! We highly recommend this or any of the other properties that are owned and rented by this couple. Thanks for making our stay memorable!
