Alison Sadler, Chris Snyder purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Alison Sadler, Chris Snyder chose Asheville Area

This Cabin has the best "feeling" upon arrival- its hard to explain but everyone comments on this. The relaxation provided here is great. The proximity to both Asheville and Black Mountain is fantastic.

What makes this cabin unique

The Cabin interior has been designed by Alison (a production designer in the film industry) so it does not get any better than this!

The Cabin location and its positioning next to stream and deep woods is optimal.

Plus the cool yurt provides unique additional sleeping quarters.

The property was beautiful inside and out! Clean, had everything necessary to cook a Christmas dinner, and had plenty of room for our family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely secluded property and came fully stocked with supplies for a comfortable stay.

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely, secluded property in the mountains, comfortably furnished with wonderful decks and porches to view nature. When the family arrived we were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was conveniently stocked with food items such as cereal, coffee, popcorn, a bottle of wine, (just to mention a few) and a lovely Christmas tree! Everyone (two family's with 3 boys) had such a great time that plans are in the "works" to make this a regular holiday experience with the inclusion of more extended family to participate as well. Thank you for providing the opportunity for the family to gather together in a "homey" environment for the holiday. The potential for enjoyment is obvious for year round activities and Spring will be an option as well. The Biltmore and Nature Center are nearby, as well as shopping in Asheville and Black Mountain. You can be as active or relaxed as you want. Again, great time had by all and I would highly recommend this rental property to anyone looking for a quiet secluded vacation, or natural experience with hiking and exploring the woods.

This cozy cottage is perfectly located in the in the smoky mountains, with convenience to Ashville.

The minute we walked into the Artsy cabin, we felt right at home. We were having a Holiday week with our family and the cabin provided a wonderful experience. So many special touches to make us comfortable. We found flashlights and bug spray, a lovely bottle of wine, several items in the kitchen and refrigerator for convenience. We used the propane grill and the kitchen appliances were very nice. There was plenty of hot water for us all. Dishes, glasses, cups, pots and pans were plentiful. We enjoyed the hiking trails just behind the cabin. The Yurt is just adorable, we didn't need to use it, but it sure is a useful added feature to this property. This is just a wonderful place to stay, we highly recommend it. Alison and Chris have put a lot of thought into making this a very special place!! Thank you so much- we hope to be back again someday, soon!

Great cabin for weekend getaway to Asheville!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The location was spot on, just a short 20-25 minute drive to Asheville and the surrounding breweries.

Thank you Alison for your prompt responses to my questions along the way!

Met all of our expectations

  • 5 of 5

Very nice property, well maintained and homely, family friendly!!! Just what we expected.

The Yurt was delightful albeit due to the time of year (November 4th) the weather turned cold as did the yurt ---- additional heaters would have been good.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin and hope you come back soon.. The yurt heating must have not been clear for your use and I'm sorry if this was the case. The yurt is unconventional and it's heating and cooling is not like a regular home. There's x2 heating sources, the fireplace unit plus the freestanding heater and a/c unit. These have been /Should be more than adequate for the small square footage inside the yurt. If something was not working let me know. Any notes you have so I can make the instructions clear for future guests are much appreciated!!!! Please come for a return visit for a substantial discount:)))) Thanks! Alison

Wonderful artistic cabin and cute yurt with a location close to Asheville (10 miles to downtown) and Black Mountain (6 miles). Very peaceful yet easy access to all the area has to offer. The annual Swannanoa Gathering is rich in local culture and music. Also located in Swannanoa and voted the 'Greenest College in U.S.', Warren Wilson College offers an organic farmers market during the spring, summer and fall months as well as wonderful trails to explore. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway where The Folk Art Center is located, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, the Historic Biltmore Hotel where a drink at 5:00 in the lobby cannot be beat to experience the grandeur of architecture and incredible views. A wide range of very high quality restaurants in the area range from Vegan to BBQ. Also don't forget to enjoy the abundance of nature right outside the cabin door while you reconnect with family and friends, and take life at a slower pace. Whatever your plans, our cabin will make you feel like you have come home!
