About this property

Best Cozy Barn in the Canadian Rocky Mountains with private Hot Tub + bon fires

Our barn is soooo much more then a barn: cozy, lots of space, great bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms! Warm, surrounded by wilderness, nature, wildlife and space. Each bedroom has its own character, big kitchen and big bathrooms. And the living room is breath-taking! Close to everything: golf courses, natural hot springs, lots of lakes where you can swim in the summertime and skate or cross country ski in the winter time. Almost any outdoor activity you can think of is available on or close by the property! Skiing, hiking, [mountain] biking, horse back riding, swimming, ATV-tours, wild water rafting.......it all starts right at the barn. Great for singles, couples and groups. Also great for events like weddings or........!
Although only 20 minutes from town you are surrounded by nature, space and wilderness. Breathtaking! On our farm we keep the famous Friesian horses [you might have seen these in movies like "The Hunger Games", "Zorro", "The Caravan", etc.

You can enjoy the surrounding beauty while relaxing in your own private cedar hottub that is heated by firewood.

It is important to know that firewood is not included in the price. You will need firewood for the hottub and firepit/ barbeque. You are more then welcome to bring your own firewood, or purchase it from us. We sell 1/4th of a cord for $140.

Exceeded expectations
It was such a beautiful and spacious property. We had 10 people in our group and had more than enough space. The hosts were also incredibly friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away. We will definitely be back!

Family Retreat
Property is amazing and is set up to accommodate larger groups. Gerard was very helpful and ensured we were looked after. Kids loved feeding the horses and adults enjoyed the views and serenity of the property. Will definitely be going back to visit Gerard and Caio.

Family Reunion at the barn cabin!
Overall it was a fantastic family reunion spot. We had a group of 16 people. Plenty of beds. Everyone said their bed was super comfy and my parents said they had the best sleep! (they had the king room) 4 bathrooms were perfect for our group and there was plenty of extra towels and toilet paper. The washer and dryer was an added bonus! With playing outside and sitting around a fire clothes can get dirty quick. The main room has multiple sitting areas, we especially liked being able to all sit at the large table for dinners .The kitchen has everything you need. Some pans could use an upgrade, but we made it work. The outside of the property was quite large. The barn is surrounded by cement with a basketball court/net (there is a basketball provided), which was a nice surprise. The rest of the area is a dirt area. There is not much grass in the area by the barn, but a short walk and there is plenty in the surrounding areas. Our dogs still had a great time running and playing in the area! Plus we were still able to play catch, horseshoes, darts etc (we brought those games..but Gerard might be able to provide some if you ask him). Don't let the dirt turn you away!! Gerard was super helpful and wanting to help with anything and everything. It was so nice to be able to buy ice from him instead of having to go to town...and a better deal! The only con we had was there was a wedding happening on the Saturday (the day after we arrived) so there was multiple people coming in and out of the barn area to get supplies etc. With 2 large dogs that don't like strangers this added some stress. But we made it work and still had a fantastic time. If you're looking for a nice spot for a wedding or reunion this is for sure the spot to book. Gerard and his wife will be sure to take care of you! Thanks again Gerard!
