Forget about the worry, stress and expense of a boarding kennel and bring your dog on holidays with you when you come and stay at Pelicans Perch Shoal Bay. Offering tiled flooring throughout this spacious 3 bedroom house also provides ducted air conditioning, a large kitchen with dishwasher, multiple living areas and easy level parking for your vehicle and trailer boat.

Cool, clean and roomy the main living area has a 2x seater lounge plus a 3 seater lounge with chaise, a wicker sun bed, LCD flat screen TV, DVD, FOXTEL, stylish prints on the walls and an array of pelican carvings. Step down to the open plan living and dining room which offers a double sofa bed, a dining setting for 8 guests plus sliding glass door access to a rear vine-covered pergola with outdoor setting and gas BBQ. The large family kitchen offers enough space to prepare a banquet and includes an under bench oven, glass stove-top, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, walk-in pantry, dishwasher plus a breakfast bar with 4x high back stools. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, side tables and mirrored robe. The 2nd bedroom has a tri-bunk bed (single on-top and double on-bottom) side table and mirrored built-in robe with the 3rd bedroom offering 2x single beds, side table and mirrored robe. The bathroom has a standard size bath, a glass step-in shower and vanity with the toilet separate. Other features include a level driveway and double carport, street parking plus internal laundry facilities with a top loading washing machine, clothes dryer and 2nd toilet. The rear yard is fully fenced for your pet and also offers an outdoor clothes line to dry your beach towels.

The Shoal Bay Foreshore, restaurants, cafes and bars are approximately 800m away or take a stroll down one of the bush tracks at the end of the street to discover one of Shoal Bays best kept secrets, Wreck Beach. Go somewhere else....please!

5 adults arrived here for a week over the Christmas holidays. Arrived quiet late so picked up keys in the dark, arrived at the property , little disappointed with the condition of it. No lights to welcome you, so stumbling around in the dark, trying to work out the keys, inside dirty, half a dozen light bulbs missing, no bedside lights at all in two bedrooms only main lights. The place was musty and obviously hadnt been cleaned, so we whipped round with a mop and vacuum, picking up the very dead cockroaches everywhere. The place is in a sad state of repair, fly screens falling off, walls unpainted, generally very tatty, if it was to accommodate nine people , it would be hard , there's only a table for 8 and utensils for half that! The next day in the day we ventured outside, the first and last time, the patio is a hazard, you wouldn't want to sit under anything, the shed at the bottom of the garden with the collapsed bike really needs to go, as does the brick shed, ugly buildings. The kettle gave up, the electric blows if you have the tumble dryer and oven on, the utensils are cheap and useless, the wooden chopping board broke in half, the carving knife snapped. Really, this place needs a serious looking at if its considered a ' holiday home' , on holiday I'd expect a basic standard of cleanliness and safety, this has slipped through the net and should be removed from listing. We have reported all to Winning holidays, who's only remedy was more glasses and a new kettle. We put up with it as it was a location for us to sleep.

Pet friendly it isn't!

Where do I start, I have a list of problems with this place. We booked this property because the listing said pets were welcome but when we walked into the kitchen there was a sign saying they had to be kept outdoors! It didn't say that in the listing nor were we told that when we made the booking. The problem is there is no shelter outside for dogs so I don't know where the owners expect your dog to go when it's raining. We paid extra to have the dogs stay with us and I have no idea what that fee is covering, certainly not for a decent place for them outdoors. The photos don't show that the pergola out the back is actually collapsing and is in dangerous condition. The back yard is not a place you would want to spend time in. Sorry it's not good enough even for the dog. The hot water service in the laundry is leaking rusty water out of the top that is running onto the floor. We tried every bed in the place but each one was worse than the other. The owners really need to spend money on decent mattresses. It's hard to enjoy your stay when you've hardly had any sleep. No lamps in the second or third bedroom so you have to turn the light out and stumble around in the dark to get into bed. The place is quite dusty, I don't think anyone dusted or aired it out before our arrival which was disappointing and caused us to walk around sneezing until I finished going around wiping surfaces clean. The sofas in the main living room need replacing, they are dirty and if you sit on them for any length of time they are uncomfortable. The only good things - air conditioning and the kitchen. If you are looking for a place to stay with your dog this isn't it! Pet friendly it isn't! We won't stay here again and definitely wouldn't recommend it.
