Cape Jaffa Accommodation

Cape Jaffa is a seaside town and working harbour located near Wangolina and Mount Benson. Located roughly 244 kilometres from Adelaide and 476 kilometres from Melbourne, Cape Jaffa holiday rentals are an excellent base from which to see the Limestone Coast. You can live like a local and enjoy everything that this area has to offer. With beaches on the cape, a reef that's great for scuba diving and tons of great fishing and wines to try out, this is an awesome area that still gives you access to all the modern conveniences.

Why Cape Jaffa?

Cape Jaffa offers you the best of a Limestone Coast accommodation. With access to several wineries, some great fishing and lots of unspoiled wilderness, this is a region that is at once stimulating and extremely relaxing. Depending on how you want your holiday to go, you can do all kinds of things. Whether you love the water, fine wine or just enjoying the beauty of nature, there is plenty for you to do in the Cape Jaffa area.

So Much To See And Do

If you love to scuba dive, you might want to check out the Margaret Brock Reef about 37 kilometres off shore. Located in 1987 and named for the wreck of the Margaret Brock, this is a great site to explore in a wetsuit. If you like your water a little shallower, you can always have a great time in the Cape Jaffa Anchorage Marina, where a day on the water is a great time.

If you love lobster or crayfish, you won't find any fresher than you can get here. If you'd rather just look at the local wildlife, you can spot dolphins, penguins and seals that get very close to the shore of the beach.

The Best Local Attractions

This is not just a great spot to find some great seafood or take a four wheel drive vehicle out for a day's sight-seeing. While those are great, there is more to do if you're open to it. You can also check out Mount Benson wine region. While it's only about a generation old, the rugged climate has allowed grapes to grow and produce a unique maritime style of wines that are making waves.

You can also charter a boat for a cruise on Lacepede Bay, or go out for some tuna fishing on the Coorong. If you have a boat, you can use the state of the art boat ramp on the marina for easy entry and exit.

Why Stay In Rentals?

In this kind of Limestone Coast accommodation, you can enjoy the true natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere of this area. Take a tour and taste plenty of great wines, do some fishing or just go for a long bushwalk. The entire area is a brilliant mix of natural beauty and just enough development to keep things interesting, and your rental home will let you see it all. Plus, living in a home lets you feel like a local.

Beautiful location, peaceful

4 of 5
This home is in a great location if you are wanting a 'get away from it all' break, which we did. The kitchen was very well appointed and had most things you needed and it was great to have so much outdoor space and direct access to the beach. The one reverse cycle unit in the living room wasn't working when we got there and was replaced after two nights/mornings, which were unfortunately particularly cold ones. The agent acted quickly to get the work done. I think a combustion heater would be good in this home so that the whole home could be kept warm and cosy because the rest of the house that had no heating/cooling (or perhaps install a second split system?). We were grateful for the electric heated blankets. The home needs refreshing in a few places, sofa, rugs, the outdoor sun beds were badly damaged and should have been thrown out (they weren't needed for our winter break), cushions outside were in need of replacing too. Overall though, I would go back for a winter break and highly recommend it.

David we had a wonderful week at the cottage! It had everything we needed, loved the fire. The bed was a dream, like sleeping on a cloud. A perfect place to recharge the personal batteries.
