Read what one of our travellers had to say about the Central Region!

This is such a vast and beautiful country that I feel privileged to live in. I recall driving over the crest of a hill and being in awe of the view I beheld. I am city born and bred but some day I hope to have my tree changed.

Baralaba is a small country town about 1 1/2 hours from Rocky. There is a beautiful camping area next to the Dawson River with prolific bird life. The town has a police station, a take-away bakery called Sally's with great food, a hospital, post-office, general store, servo, a couple of churches and of course, the pub. I enjoyed my stay very much and look forward to visiting this beautiful part of Queensland again.
