Collaroy Beach accommodation

Collaroy Beach is 22 kilometres north-east of Sydney. This beachfront area, along with adjoining Narrabeen Beach, is some of the most capitalised shoreline in Australia having beachfront houses practically built right on the sandy beach itself with no footpath, road or nature strip separating the houses from the golden sands.

More Than Three Kilometres Of Continuous Surf Beach At Your Door

When you take in Collaroy Beach and Narrabeen Beach together you have almost three and a half kilometres of continuous surf beach patrolled by four lifesaving clubs that provide professional surf rescue operations and general swimming supervision every day of the week from September through to April.

A Good Place For Children and Beginner Surfers

Collaroy Beach is better protected geographically than Narrabeen Beach which means it's a far better option for children and beginner surfers to get to learn the secrets of staying upright on their surf boards, particularly when a southerly comes in. There's even a place along Collaroy Beach known as Powder Puff Point where a gentle point-break finds its way around the south headland.

Because Collaroy Beach avoids the big swells it also misses the noise of the surf rolling in all night to keep you awake in your Collaroy Beach holiday rental. It also means it's usually avoided by the more experienced surfers who prefer the wilder Narrabeen Beach. Other advantages you have at Collaroy Beach is that it's where the surf shops are, a cinema and a strip where cafe's and restaurants are many.

A Beach Where Many Top Surfers Got Their Start

Narrabeen Beach is where some of the best surfers in the world have honed their craft including more than one world champion as it's well-known for its North Narrabeen break, a feature that keeps surfers on the look out for the 'big one.' It's also where many international, national and local surf carnivals are held. Collaroy Beach accommodation gives you a place to surf where many of our top surfers have started out and regularly compete.

Enjoy The Best Nature Has To Offer

Collaroy Beach holiday rentals also offer the ideal holiday opportunity if you're into lazing the day away sunbathing or beach fishing. Ocean fish become drawn into the gutters formed after heavy seas when many a good catch becomes available. There are also many opportunities for rock and inlet fishing, especially at North Narrabeen. Boats launched at Fishermans Beach are often seen fishing along the reefs.

Collaroy Beach is a jewel in Sydney accommodation crown in that it's here where you can literally watch the waves lap the shoreline within a few metres from where you're sleeping, a feature usually reserved only for expensive resorts. Enjoy the space, privacy and independence holiday makers deserve on Collaroy Beach getaway with a holiday rental.

An enjoyable beach and city break

4 of 5
We had a lovely family holiday at this property. Good points: You could not get closer to the beach- amazing to hear the waves at night and see the ocean sun rises each morning The apartment is very well-equipped with all you need incl beach towels, toiletries and great kitchen utensils It was surprisingly close to attractions- 20 mins to Taronga zoo and 30 mins to the city centre Points to be aware of: The apartment is right at the top of the building like an attic- you cannot stand up straight in the bathroom as the roof is angled, and bedroom the same on one side- my husband hit his head many times on the ceiling getting out of bed! There is a very slight sewage smell that pervades some areas of the apartment but you get used to it The cleaner didn't have the apartment ready til 3.45pm so we just walked along the beach to fill in time Pittwater Road is a very busy main road- it's hard to get a park and if it wasn't for the ocean noise, you'd hear traffic all night! But overall I would recommend this property and owner provided excellent info prior to arrival. Thank you!
