Coorabell is a scenic locality in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales, known for its wide expanses of land and scenic rolling countryside. Coorabell is just 17 minutes from the beaches, attractions, and shopping of Byron Bay, making it a popular holiday spot for families or couples looking for a peaceful beach holiday away from the massive crowds at Byron Bay. Many houses have several bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect for a getaway with the extended family. See The Sights Around Coorabell

Coorabell is particularly known for its scenic landscape, including the lush countryside and views of the hinterland. Take the Coolamon Scenic Drive, which stretches from St. Helena to Mullumbimby, for some of the most beautiful sights in the Northern Rivers region. You'll see lovely stretches of picturesque farmland, grazing cows, and cottages throughout the journey - it's truly worth the trip.

After your trip down the Coolamon Scenic Drive, you might want to make a reservation at one of Coorabell's leading restaurants, Wilson's by the Creek, which is known for its gourmet menu created only with the freshest local ingredients. If Wilson's doesn't meet your cravings, you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes in the Byron Bay area.

So Much To Do In Byron Bay

Byron Bay is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Northern Rivers region, and it's not hard to see why: the area is packed with beautiful beaches, exciting attractions, and family-friendly adventures. Your teens can learn to surf at one of Byron's surf schools while the younger ones spend the day building sand castles on the shore. Take the whole family on a whale-watching cruise or tour the nature-made wonders at the Crystal Castle.

The Macadamia Castle is another popular trip for holidaying families, with nursery animals, local wildlife, rabbit petting, and a reptile exhibit. After you've gotten your fill of the live wildlife, the whole family can enjoy the Castle's playgrounds, barbeques, face painting, and mini golf. For something truly original, take a circus lesson at the Byron Bay Circus Arts Centre. No matter if you're longing to learn the trapeze or the unicycle, beginners are always welcome.

With so much to do and enjoy in Coorabell, you'll vow to come back on holiday every year.

Perfect place to relax!

5 of 5
We had such an amazing time during our stay at the Artists Retreat Wildlife Sanctuary. The house is incredible and the scenery is even better!! We seriously didn’t want to leave. There is an outdoor day bed overlooking the pool and we pretty much didn’t leave this spot the whole time - perfect spot to read a book. Our dog had amazing time too. Boots (aka Romeo), the kelpie from across the road, came for a few visits during our stay and our dog was very happy to have another dog to play with.

Perfect family home away from home

5 of 5
We had a wonderful mini break at this property. It was very spacious and really felt like a home away from home. My children have special dietry requirements and eating out with them can be very hard. It was wonderful to stay in a place with a kitchen bigger than our one at home. We all enjoyed the amazing grounds and the children had fun running around outside while we relaxed on the deck with a drink. It was only a short drive to the beach and into Byron- but so much more relaxing having a whole house to come back to. Will definitely stay here again- but next we will stay for longer.
