Cronulla is a coastal suburb located in the Southerland district, just over fifteen minutes south of Sydney. The Sydney CBD is only a short drive or train trip away, where you will be able to discover the beauty and culture of this renowned Australian city. While you are there, take a walk through the stunning Botannical Gardens, be amused with the kids at Luna Park or stroll around Sydney's historical suburb, The Rocks. You could also seen a movie at the famous Imax theatre or hop on a ferry to see some brilliant harbour views. Sydney city has so many sites to see and activities to take part in, and at the end of the day you will be sure to want to return to your rental apartment and relax on the couch as you look over Cronulla's beautiful beaches.
Coastal breezes will refresh you throughout the year, especially in summer where you will experience hot and sunny Sydney weather. Winter in Cronulla is fairly mild. You definitely will not experience snow or freezing weather, but rainfall is increased and hours of light in the day will decrease. Ocean waters become very cold in winter but this will not stop many Aussie surfers who are more than happy to throw on their wetsuits and catch some waves if the surf is good.
There are many direct flights that will take you straight to Sydney, but if you would like to break up the travel time a little rather then flying for more than twenty hours, many airlines offer stopovers in places including Singapore, Bangkok and Abu Dhabi. Sometimes it may be cheaper to fly into another Australian city and then catch a domestic flight to Sydney. It is best to do your research before you book your flights to Australia.
Once you arrive in Sydney, you can choose to organize a driver who will take you directly to Cronulla. The trip will take less than twenty five minutes and you will be dropped to the door of your holiday home or holiday apartment. You could also choose to take a taxi which will also take you directly to your holiday accommodation.
If you would prefer to take public transport, you can catch a number of trains directly from the International or Domestic Airport. You will need to change to the Eastern Suburbs and Llawarra train line which will stop at Cronulla station.
