Great country getaway with lovely hosts

We stayed at Cedar Brae for 3 nights in September with our 2 young children. We wanted few nights away somewhere quiet, relaxing and with a chance for our kids to experience farm life and animals. This place fitted the bill perfectly. The cottage was lovely, so comfortable and very well equipped. We loved sitting out on the front verandah having breakfast of fresh eggs overlooking the farm, lake and animals. Pam and Mike were amazing hosts, so genuinely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We can't wait to visit Cedar Brae again!

We had such an amazing time and experience at this gorgeous place! It's only 20 minutes from Gympie but it seriously feels like the middle of nowhere; with so much privacy it's a hidden gem! Steve, the owner, met us when we arrived to show us around as it is quite a large property. We viewed the house for a while then once unpacked, he offered to take us for a drive around. It was the best free 4WD we've done, as he drove us to see the dam down the bottom and a hidden swimming water hole through the bushes. It's getting hotter so it was a bit dry but awesome to look at and read a book next to! The house itself is stunning. It's on top of a hill so the breeze you get it incredible. We relaxed on the veranda and chilled out in the massive bath tub while watching all kinds of birds fly past. We even saw rabbits and wallabies! The bed was so comfy, shower pressure awesome, aircon was there but we didn't need it and we did all our cooking on the BBQ, so perfect! Would 100% recommend to stay there, we're already planning on when to go next!
