Wonderful Holidays on Hope Island
Just off the shores of the Gold Coast in Australia lies the beautiful Hope Island. This place is remarkably quiet and there are less than six thousand people living there permanently. However, its closeness to all the beaches in the area, and its relatively short transfer time from Brisbane makes this a holiday haven for weary travellers from around the world. Holiday accommodation is in plentiful supply and there is a whole range to choose from.
When people go on holiday, they often want to know about the style of living there because we often like to go a little upscale at these times. Hope Island Resort has a gated community which has excellent facilities complete with a marina and swimming pool. Within this community, people tend to travel around on golf buggies so this cuts down on the pollution!
Getting to the Island is very easy, as is finding some great accommodation, as it is right on the MI motorway and the railway line at Coomera. This means then that transfers from the International airport are quick and simple and people can settle into their rented holiday villas or holiday homes quite quickly.
What to do on and Around Hope Island
Visitors are not restricted to the Island for sure but, until they have recovered from their journey, and perhaps got used to their rented accommodation, there is plenty to see and do here. Tropical style shopping centres, great places to eat and speciality stores that provide everything the holiday maker will need. Sanctuary Cove is just a few minutes away and this has many shopping, dining and accommodation choices too so there is plenty to see and do here.
The main pastime on Hope Island appears to be golf because it has an eighteen-hole course designed by a British Open champion. Built in the British style, this course is a stunning place to play and relax.
If it is all things aquatic that the holiday maker wants, Sanctuary Cove boasts some great facilities for boat hire and water sports. Surfers Paradise is only twenty minutes away by car and this is where all other kinds of water fun can be had. Arrive in May to visit the exceptional International Boat Show and see how the ‘other half’ lives!
Most people want to snorkel or dive so look out for different excursions to do this. All equipment is on hire and the day cruises usually include a delicious lunch or barbecue.
The theme parks that the Gold Coast is famous for are all about ten minutes drive away so many can be visited in the average holiday. Fun rides and hair raising adventures are to be had along with some more leisurely pursuits in places like Sea World. Of course, no one could come to Australia without seeing the animals that makes it famous so find these at Australia Zoo or the other parks within the area.
A little further afield in Brisbane, where more top class accommodation can be tried out, try the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to get up close and personal with these charming creatures or take a cruise down the Brisbane River. Use an authentic paddle-wheeler or take a hike up the Story Bridge and look at the view.
Try booking an ‘all in’ style ticket to save on time and queuing when the kids are getting restless. Indeed, this precludes the need to carry much cash and we all know this is much better for us!
Climate on the Gold Coast
The weather on the Gold Coast is perfect most of the time. The ‘cooler’ months from June to December rarely gets cool by British standards so visitors will be able to come and enjoy themselves all year round.
Finding a place to stay is not that hard to do since tourism is fast becoming the biggest income earner all along the Gold Coast. Accommodation ranges from private villas and serviced apartments to holiday homes or luxury up-market hotels. Rental accommodation can be booked in the UK, along with all the entrance tickets, to make for a carefree and relaxed beginning to a holiday of a lifetime! (Come any time because there are three hundred days of sunshine – guaranteed!)
Getting to the Gold Coast
Major airlines, like Quantas, Singapore Airlines and New Zealand Air all service the route to Gold Coast from London Heathrow. Accommodation can be booked at the same time since some airlines will offer complete package holidays, including some tickets to attractions. Transfers can be booked too to make the whole journey trouble free.
