  • a wonderful escape for you & your four legged friends

the first thing that strikes you on arriving is how beautifully maintained the grounds are- and this extends to inside the cottage where all the comforts of home awaited us. We especially appreciated a hamper of goodies for breakfast which we turned to a great scrambled eggs on sourdough meal with side of steamed asparagus & country ripe tomatoes Be mindful that one of the cottages is a weatherboard cottage & the nights in late winter can get very chilly. We relied heavily on the reverse cycle heating to warm the place as the log fire was only effective up close Our 2 dogs just loved the dog play area chasing each other & retrieving the ball. Then they would stare at the big black cows & the sheep wondering who these exotic creatures were! We could safely leave them in the enclosure on their own while we read the papers Ali is a consummate host & is meticulous in the way she looks after the property & is so helpful with any enquiries We will definitely return- next time in the summer

Damien was the super host, providing a warm welcome on our arrival which included pouring us a glass of local wine from the very generous welcome hamper provided. Damien then left us to enjoy settling in to this beautiful home which included an extensive library, sound equipment, open fire with plenty of wood, piano and a lovely art collection. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed for our stay. The large windows provide views from every room, with the lounge areas and decking looking out over the garden. This provided a great atmosphere especially when we watched the kangaroos grazing in the evening and morning. We can't wait to return to this beautiful property and we highly recommend it.
