Sapphire Beach: One Of The North Coast's Loveliest
Sapphire Beach is a lovely seaside holiday destination located just 10 kilometres and 13 minutes from Coffs Harbour. The last in a string of beaches on the Pacific Highway before Coffs Harbour, Sapphire sits on the coast near Moonee Beach, Emerald Beach, and Sandy Beach. Sapphire Beach is also just 18 minutes and 17 kilometres away from Woolgoolga.
Like most North Coast accommodation on the Coffs Coast, Sapphire Beach accommodation is primarily concerned with the beach. Most Sapphire Beach holiday rentals are located on or near the beach and offer spectacular views of the water.
Enjoy Crystal Clear Blue Waters And Golden Sand Between Your Toes
As the name suggests, Sapphire's most popular attraction is the beautiful Sapphire Beach. Be aware that only the southern end of the beach is patrolled, and for most of the year the beach is only patrolled on weekends and public holidays. The one exception is for three weeks starting in late December, where the beach is patrolled Monday through Friday.
The north end of the beach is accessible via Crystal Waters Drive. Here you'll find public showers, parking, and a playground. The northern end of the beach is also closest to Sapphire Beach's various shops.
Explore The Coast's Other Beaches
Of course, one of the best things about staying in this area of the North Coast is the easy access to all of the area's beaches. Park Beach is the primary surfing beach in Coffs Harbour. Here you'll find the Coffs Harbour Surf Life Saving Club and plenty of opportunities for watersports and fishing. The nearby Park Beach Reserve is one of the loveliest places in the area to have a picnic, with plenty of outdoor barbecues, picnic tables, and shade.
Diggers Beach is perhaps the best-known surfing spot on the Coffs Coast. Both experienced and amateur surfers will find waves here, and there are usually some expert instructors around to show you the ropes.
If you're looking to combine shopping and dining with a day at the beach, head to Woolgoolga Beach, where the stunning shores and accompanying shops, restaurants, and cafes will keep you entertained for hours.
What To Do In Nearby Coffs Harbour
If you're in need of a cultural fix, spend a day in the friendly city of Coffs Harbour. You'll find cafes with outdoor seating, unique boutiques, and plenty of fine dining. Visit the Jetty and Harbourside district for the area's best waterfront dining and waterfront views. The whole family will love both the National Marine Science Centre Aquarium and Dolphin Marine Magic for a close look at the area's marine life.
Beaches, attractions, and watersports galore - Sapphire Beach has everything you're looking for in a beach holiday destination.
