Sheaoak Flat Accommodation

Sheaoak Flat is a small town located 70 km northwest of Adelaide and near several small port cities like Port Julia and Port Vincent on the Yorke Peninsula. Nestled far away from the bustle of city life but near enough to larger towns to offer anything you might need, Sheaoak Flat holiday rentals offer you the chance to get away from it all and feel just like a local. Tucked away and secluded, this is the perfect place to take a long hike or simply relax and let nature embrace you.

Why Sheaoak Flat?

Many city travelers find that a holiday in a wooded area is a great way to unwind and relax. The entire area is rich with wildlife and great for getting away from it all. From the busier areas like Port Vincent to the farms and parks around Sheaoak Flat, there are activities to suit just about any temperament and mood. Being away from it all has a lot of advantages, including communing with nature and lazing around without a care in the world.

Good Things To See And Do?

First off, the sheer volume of walking trails in the Yorke and Lower North area is maddening. You could spend a lot of time walking with no particular intention of getting anywhere and barely scratch the surface. From your Yorke and Lower North accommodation, you can explore the tops of cliffs looking over the Gulf St. Vincent. Seals are a fairly common sight, while dolphins and other kinds of whales are a bit more of a rare treat.

You can also take a trip to the local parks in the area. If you love horses, you might check out Ducatoon Park. From seeing horse studs to walking with foals, this is a great place for those with an equestrian mind. Another fun place to visit for animal lovers is Bute Lions Fauna Park. You can relax and have a barbecue, or just check out the local kangaroo, wallaby, peacock, swan and emu populations doing their thing.

Great Local Attractions

Exploring the coastline in a canoe is a great way to enjoy the gulf. A little while on the water can easily turn into a relaxing entire day trip. You can also try diving for scallops, or just snorkel to see what's going on under the surface.

Some other interesting sights are the local churches, including St. Neots Anglican Church from 1964 and the Uniting Church from 1909. The local architecture offers a lot of early and middle 20th century blasts from the past.

Why Stay In Rentals?

A rental home is the best possible way to see the area. Instead of trying to find a hotel room, you can choose the kind of place you would like to try living in for your stay. From there, you can go all over the Yorke Peninsula seeing and doing as much as you can squeeze in, or you can do as little as possible and enjoy the calm and quiet.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay at Tauranga Moorings

5 of 5
Beautiful holiday home set in a beautiful location. If you are in to fishing it can’t get any better than this. We weren’t but it was still great. Plenty of room for adults and kids. 3 seperate living areas with own TVs. That kept the kids and adults happy. The kitchen was fully equipped. The backyard was beautifully and neatly maintained over looking the Marina. If you are lucky you can see dolphins and seals early morning from the back yard. Margie was very quick to respond to my messages and provided plenty of information before our arrival. Overall I give this place 5 stars.
