The Eden Killer Whale Museum
Ever since this unique and fascinating museum opened its doors in 1938, it has welcomed a huge amount of visitors to the innovative facility. The museum is situated in such a way, that visitors may be able to view whales in the bay during the migration season. The museum showcases varied exhibits from the 1800’s right through to the early 1900’s when shore based whaling operations were taking place. The museum provides a unique chance to experience the captivating history of the local fishing and timber industries that contributed to the community of Eden, in making it what it is today.
Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre
This interactive discovery centre is certainly not to be missed and it not only for the kids. Get a chance to explore the incredible marine life that live along the coast, there are many aquariums, touch tanks, microscopes, coastal discovery programs, marine laboratory activities and a fully equipped kids’ corner with videos and other activities. You can also book with them on a snorkelling tour, where they take you out into the bay as part of their full day tour of the coastline.
