We stayed in the Mountain Queen for three days and wish we could make it longer. It is located a few km from the Lamington National park entry by the road, but the rainforest is right there, with the crisp fresh air, colourful birds and the views of the trees and distant ever-changing hills and clouds behind them. Even though there are neighboring properties nearby, it feels very private and secluded. It was very quiet, except for the sound of wind and birds and maybe just occasional passing car or a dog bark in the distance. The property is large and very well maintained. A couple of wallabies seem to enjoy it too, as they were there every day. The house is spacious, airy and sparkling clean. It is well looked after, generously furnished and tastefully decorated. We felt that a lot of thought went to making sure we feel comfortable and truly enjoy out stay. The hosts' attention to detail and generosity are beyond expectations. The kitchen is well equipped, but you need to bring your own ingredients, as there are no proper shops nearby. The spa downstairs is very relaxing after long walks. If it is cooler, you can have a relaxing evening next to a fireplace. We had an amazing time at Mountain Queen and would certainly recommend it. Thank you!

A great place near some incredibly nice scenery within an easy walk. The accommodation is quite comfortable and cosy. Take your own food and drink and everything else is there. Well supplied kitchen, comfortable furniture and bed. Definitely worth the stay.
