Fantastic family holiday

5 of 5
We had a fantastic time on Fraser Island. Family of 5, all kids under 7. Susan was very helpful in providing information and responsive to all requests. Fraser Island is an amazing place, truly one of a kind. The Villa was clean and well appointed. It provided all the mod cons (The air conditioning very much appreciated) but the resort is setup to retain its natural feel for example there were Gecko's wandering around outside. It had a very new kitchen and generally felt very well maintained. We read some comments before our stay that the resort is dated, but we thought it was nice and a very welcome refuge after a day exploring ! We took our own 4WD and entered via Inskip Point and exited by the Kingfisher Ferry. We spent a week in the villa and most days we took off to explore the Island, but two or three days we just stayed put and relaxed at the resort. The kids also loved the resort facilities and even participated in the organised activities (Eco Rangers etc). Travelling around the island took longer than I expected. We needed to help move a bogged vehicle from the tracks (not us) every time we went out which slows you down. You really need to plan where you want to go and when (tide dependent) if staying here. It takes a while to get around but there are places like Lake Mackenzie that you can visit for a half day. We got as far north as Champagne Pools. There is a shop with basic facilities but limited range and convenience store prices. We self-catered all meals for start of our trip but just had dinner at the resort restaurants toward the end (tried all 3). The resort meals are "island prices" of course and quality was OK. In summary a fantastic holiday and villa, would definitely recommend !

Great Little House!

5 of 5
My family had a very enjoyable time at this home. Close to a great Italian restaurant we went to twice along with the Australian cuisine restaurant with massive portion sizes. A nice beach for the kids and local shops for everyday items or just down the road and the tourist shops are just within 5 minutes. If Hervey Bay becomes our go to holiday destination I hope to stay here again.
