The very plain exterior of this apartment belies the very modern, well designed and equipped interior.
The apartment has 4 separate areas – good sized bedroom , large lounge/dining area, very adequate kitchen, and the bathroom/laundry room. There is plenty of natural light and ventilation, with direct access to the patio area which is set in a large back yard garden.
The furniture and appliances are all modern and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable, as was the lounge seating. Internet was provided and worked very well. No air conditioning, but under floor heating throughout.
The apartment is well located just beside the English gardens, which is really a huge forest with lakes, numerous walking and cycling paths, and several beer gardens and restaurants. The best restaurant in the Gardens we found was the Sports club (only 2 minute walk from the apartment) – excellent facilities and setting, great food and good prices. We found other good restaurants outside the park within a short walk. There is also a small food store near the apartment (about 200m away) which we found very handy. The U station is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment, and the single line ride into the Marienplatz takes about 7 minutes.
Getting into the apartment was very easy – the very friendly caretaker lives in the apartment next door. She greeted us on arrival, explained everything about the apartment and provided local knowledge to help us make the most of our time. Her English is basic, but we had no problem.
Altogether a very quiet, comfortable and relaxing apartment. Highly recommended.
