Very nice place. Our apartments was clean, well tended, and had everything we needed. The town is more of a village in my opinion, but you can easily reach the beach, supermarkets and a couple of restaurants, even with kids and no car. There are no special activities around, so if you are looking for action and events, this is probably the wrong place. But for a quiet and relaxing vacation, this is the perfect, as there are only few tourists around. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and I almost felt sad leaving them. Also a great place with kids.

We were here in May and June for 5 weeks, it was as lovely as we expected, Manolis was the perfect host from the first arrival till the last goodbye, very easy going, helpful and a wonderful conversationalist, we spent many happy hours there, the garden is the perfect place to eat or read and relax,it's very central for local buses or walking to the shops, very historical and good Museums, good day trips on comfy modern coaches to lots of other towns in Crete, the Islands like Santorini are a must also. The house suited us well as we self catered, the kitchen is very functional for long stays, bed is super comfy, there is a flat screen tv but we never switched it on,in all, it's a lovely home from home for a nice long break, great host, lovely family he has too, highly recommend it for those looking for an nice quiete break in a central base for touring, Thankyou Manolis for all the happy times we had..Norm and Chris, Australia
