Visit the Ubud Monkey Forest to see delightful sights of the playful monkeys set across the thick foliage of the forest. Since areas in which monkeys live are believed to be sacred, you will also get to see the temple of Pura Dalem Agung Padang Tegal in the forest. Getting to Legian, Bali

It couldn’t get any easier travelling to Legian with the Denpasar International Airport (DPS) located at a convenient 25 km from it. You could choose from a host of airways such as Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar and KLM to avail on good deals on regular flights to the region. However, do bear in mind that there are no direct flights. However, you can fly from a number of airports from the UK.

This is surely not the most luxurious or spacious VRBO unit I have ever stayed in. However, it was completely perfect at checking all the boxes I booked it for, including for being a terrific value for money. First, it was very clean---meaning that all the surfaces I saw and touched were actually clean in look and feel. (If you are a person with equally high cleanliness standards and have much experience with VRBO or its competitors, you likely know what I mean---at some properties, corners get cut, bits get missed. Not here!) Second, as a first-timer in Bali, I was looking for a host who would help me get oriented and answer even dumb questions. These owners were not in town at the time of my stay, but I got incredibly helpful email assistance beforehand and during---not only did I get my questions answered, but I also was sent a lengthy and detailed set of spreadsheets and other documents with suggestions on things to do, including the owners' honest assessment of each business mentioned. Wow! They also arranged airport pickup at a reasonable price. Even the on-site manager was kind and friendly. Third, furnishings and fixtures all were well-kept and well thought-out. The unit felt safe, it had a small but usable (and furnished) balcony with a view of some nice greenery before the house across the way, the A/C worked perfectly and quietly, there was a tiny wall-mounted safe for my passport, the dining table was good-sized and pretty to boot, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchenette was surprisingly well equipped (colander, more than one pot, plenty of utensils, double-burner propane cooker, dispenser of free bottled water), and the bath had lots of hooks and even a storage shelf. Best of all, everything I tried in the kitchen and bath worked and felt sturdy. No wobbles or tricky bits. Good location too, only a couple minutes of walking to a greengrocer and only a few blocks from the main street, where all else I needed could be found. Yes, there was some courtyard noise from other folks staying in the complex. And I suppose I would have preferred actual screening in the front window, but it had glass louvers and a miniblind that seemed just fine at keeping biting bugs out. Like I mentioned in the beginning, I've certainly stayed at fancier, bigger, and pricier VRBOs. But I've never stayed in any that were better at delivering everything promised for a small price. Clean, spacious, good central location

Very happy with our stay. Loved the pool. Great size rooms, comfortable living areas inside and out. Finding the Villa initially was confusing. Email just said Panorama Cottages Complex - there are 2 Panorama Cottages, it is in Panorama 1. Went to reception to check in, they said villa was still being cleaned and to just go down and wait. They didn't give us any idea where villa was actually located or even give us keys! After walking around and around, we eventually found it at the rear left hand corner of the complex. After these hiccups, we were happy with our stay. Pool was cleaned once whilst we were there and rooms every second day. Which was nice. Villa has two bedrooms, however the downstairs bedroom is only accessible via the outside not from inside the villa. Something one might be concerned about if travelling with children, rather than 2 couples. 5mins walk to Melasti and Legian Sts, where all the shopping and restaurants are. 15mins walk to the beach.
