It’s also probably the best time to visit. Explore the east of the town to visit the Subak Museum. You would get to learn the methods of rice cultivation as well as agricultural techniques in the region. Don’t miss out on The Gedong Marya Theater which is a fitting tribute to I Ketut Marya, one of Bali’s iconic dancers.

To see a fascinating display of earthenware such as washbasins and pots, drive 12 km south to town of Pejaten. Take back some souvenirs as a memory of your trip here!

Enjoying the Weather in Tabanan, Indonesia

The tropical climate is perfect for a warm summer holiday in Tabanan. You would get to enjoy a maximum daytime temperature of about 33 degrees Celsius any time in the year. The monsoon months between December and March record some heavy showers of rain.

I don't give 5 starts often, but the Zala Villa has been the best villa i have ever stayed at.

I don't give 5 starts often, but the Zala Villa has been the best villa i have ever stayed at. There, said it! From the beautiful entrance with the stepping stones over the pond to the relaxed indoor/outdoor style bathrooms and living rooms, it really did have it all. The overall size of the villa is large and open. The pool is quite large for a private pool and the idea to have a half wall over looking the rice paddy fields and farm lands was a masterstroke. Everything just feels so open and spacious, we were blissfully relaxed within minutes of arriving. The frangipani trees growing over the pool with orchids growing on them not only created a beautiful tropical sight but also created a lovely shady spot in the pool that we enjoyed during the day then soaked up the thoughtful lighting at night. The location may not be to everyone's cup of tea, but for us it was ideal. Well out of the busy tourist zones, you felt like a local by the end of the trip. And hiring a couple of scooters was just a great fun way to head to the beach or anywhere for that matter. Um, bad points,,,,,,, the pillows were a bit hard???? that's about it! I would go back in a heart beat, maybe it just struck a cord with ourselves, but i think if i was going to create/build a villa, it would look just like this. Well done! P.S. I copied this from my review in TripAdvisor just in case anyone thinks it's a dodgy auto review :)

Lovely villa. The staff were amazing especially Madee the driver. We had a small problem whilst out there but the staff sorted it straight away. I would say the pool wasn't maintained often enough and therefore it went green at the end of our stay, however the staff were trying to resolve it. Overall a lovely holiday.
