Enjoy Scenic Views from Holiday Rental Villa in Phang Nga, Thailand

One of the most tempting places in the entire world is the beautiful province of Phang Nga. The region is situated on the Andaman Coast of Thailand and is a paradise on earth. The beaches and bays here are so magnificent that one of them was featured in the James Bond film ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’. Even though the place has changed with time, it has managed to retain its charm and essence. A number of holiday rental villas are available here so that tourists can enjoy a pleasant stay.

Things to Do

Phang Nga is a well organized place and many flock here for enjoying the weather. Swimming, kayaking and diving are only a few of the number of sports that one can enjoy here. You can even sit your PADI scuba diving certificate. For those brave enough, you can take a Thai boxing class. For a more relaxed activity, a game of golf can be enjoyed at the 18 hole course that is less than half an hour of distance from the province.

Places to Visit

Beaches are the main attraction of Phang Nga. Be it for a relaxing walk or for a fun-filled time consumed in water-based activities, the beach is the place to be. You can explore the beaches on your own, visit an island or hire a boat and its captain for the day so that you can enjoy a little boat ride. There are impressive caves here and a number of temples that you can visit. Not all are inhabited, with many having impressive cave systems. The Suwannakhuha temple that is set in a cave homes a huge reclining Buddha. A trip to the mangrove forests is also highly recommended for nature lovers.

Weather

The rainy season here extends from May to October and a monthly average rainfall of 450 mm is not uncommon. It is advised that a holiday here be planned between the months of November and April when the average temperature is 27 degrees Celsius and rainfall averages to less than 50 mm.

Getting There

The international airport at Phuket (HKT) is the nearest port to a self catering villa in Phang Nga. You can fly direct to Phuket from Perth and Sydney. Otherwise you can catch a flight to Bangkok or Singapore, and then board a connecting flight to Phang Nga.
