The Suwannakhuha temple that is set in a cave homes a huge reclining Buddha. A trip to the mangrove forests is also highly recommended for nature lovers.
The rainy season here extends from May to October and a monthly average rainfall of 450 mm is not uncommon. It is advised that a holiday here be planned between the months of November and April when the average temperature is 27 degrees Celsius and rainfall averages to less than 50 mm.
The international airport at Phuket (HKT) is the nearest port to a self catering villa in Phang Nga. You can fly direct to Phuket from Perth and Sydney. Otherwise you can catch a flight to Bangkok or Singapore, and then board a connecting flight to Phang Nga.
