Sunny side up in Thailand

The tropical climate ensures a warm temperature all year long. The hot season is perfect to enjoy a warm summer holiday. You could visit between November and April to make the most of the 30 degrees Celsius temperature. Most holiday makers choose to visit between February and March before the onset of the monsoon. The monsoon months between May and October witness some heavy rains.

As I approached my 30th year on this Earth, with very little to show for it, I decided to enlist 3 close friends and my little brother to help me escape reality and enjoy a dose of adventure with a 30th birthday jaunt to Thailand. None of us had ever been before, and we weren't sure what to expect. Upon arrival in Phuket we were harassed and cajoled by various vendors and hawkers, and hit the nightclub scene - chaotic!

After two days we left for Koh Samui and instantly the holiday changed. We relaxed, our smiles widened and we found the island living a small haven from Phuket's in your face type experience. We danced on the beach, lounged by pools, ate great food and haggled with some lovely shopkeepers. It was like a more chilled out Phuket, with friendly people and a much more holiday type of vibe. After 3 days in Koh Samui we set off for Koh Phangan.

If Koh Samui was a haven, Koh Phangan was pure paradise. Bungalows by the beach, first class food and an ambiance I have never experienced anywhere else in the world. 4 days here led to some serious joyful partying (and some atrocious hangovers), culminating in a full moon party on the actual day I turned 30. It's a great memory, probably the last before a turning point of maturity once it was over. An experience I'll probably never repeat, and one I'll definitely never forget.

Prefect hideaway amongst the coconut trees

Well what can I say my husband and I have been coming to Thailand / Koh Phangan for over 6 years now and I can honestly say the house and its location was absolutely perfect for our annual vacation and booked this place for one month and can not fault it one bit. When I saw this place online I knew it would be a nice house but once we arrived ....the place and location is so much better in person , the online photos do not it any justice. The owner Pascal was very helpful and very quick at responding to email enquiries when we had them(which was much appreciated)would higly recommend this place if you are looking for total privacy, and I also recommend hiring a car or motorcycle given the location. Close to beaches,bars and restaurants which was a prefect combination for those that don't feel like cooking all the time. The main town of thong sala, macros, tescos and the big c are just a short 15minute ride away.
