The Towradgi Beach Hotel hosts an annual Beer, Food & Wine Festival. This free event attracts food and wine enthusiasts from all over the region to Wollongong, where travellers will get to sample and taste a unique mix of food, beer and wine.

 

The Beer, Food & Wine Festival features a variety of activities that will appeal to all members of the family. Children will enjoy learning the basics of cooking from some of the several kid's cooking demonstrations and workshops held at the festival. Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy the official start of the summer fitness season by attending The Splash & Dash Festival. This two day event celebrates summer fitness in a fun and exciting way, while raising money for the local charity.

The Splash & Dash Festival features numerous walks, runs and swim events that are held for all ages. There are numerous ocean and basin swims, walk and run events, and kids and family runs. In addition to the numerous walks, runs and swims, The Splash & Dash Festival features various health exhibits, vendors and workshops that appeal to fitness enthusiasts.

 

Celebrate The Italian Culture With A Visit To The Annual Italian Festival

Join the Wollongong community as it celebrates the Italian culture with a trip to the Annual Italian Festival. The Annual Italian Festival has running for the past 32 years. The 33nd Annual Italian Festival will be held the first weekend in December.

 

The Italian Festival is an event that is designed to help local residents celebrate, gather as a community and experience the thrilling and exciting Italian culture. There are numerous live performances from street performers and musical artists, dances by local performers and even a roaming circus.

 

Children enjoy riding the various rides at the festival, or exploring the dozens of children's exhibits and activities. The petting zoo is another favourite children's activity. Other highlights of the Italian Festival include the annual pizza and spaghetti eating competition and the avenue of stalls that features over 50 local vendors.

 

All day live music is performed inside the club and on outdoor stages. The event winds down with a spectacular fireworks display. Entry for the Italian Festival is free. Tickets for rides, as well as food and drink need to be purchased separately.

 

Explore The Wares Of Local Vendors At The Friday Markets

Local vendors from all over Wollongong and nearby cities gather at the Friday Markets to sell their wares. Travellers can enjoy strolling through a large array of stalls that feature handmade arts and crafts, sweets and treats, food and clothing. Friday Markets is open every Friday morning. Stalls open at 9:00 a.m. and remain open until 3:00 p.m. The Friday Markets are located on the Crown Street Mall.
