Formula 1™ Australian Grand Prix
The 2015 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix revs into gear on March 12 in Melbourne, coming to a close on March 15. Located at Albert Park, some of the best Formula One drivers in the world will take part in a race of 58 laps, covering 307.547 kilometres. The 2015 event marks the 20th anniversary of the Grand Prix at Albert Park.
This event is regarded as a favourite of teams and drivers in the F1, and it signals the start of the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship. There are a variety of different ways for fans to get involved, ranging from general admission passes through to corporate hospitality options for the Melbourne Grand Prix.
General admission tickets can be purchased online or at the gate on the day, provided they have not sold out. These tickets not only give patrons access to the thrilling action off the track, but also allows them to enjoy plenty of organised entertainment throughout the event.
You can book four-day passes or pick the specific days you want to attend. If you book before March 1 2015, you qualify for early bird admission prices, which range from $149 for an adult four-day pass through to attractively priced concession tickets for single days. Concession tickets are open to full-time students, children aged between 13 and 15 and holders of State Government or full Pensioner Concession Cards.
Family passes are also available, and children under the age of 12 can access the General Admission area for free when accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
There are plenty of grandstand packages to choose from at the Grand Prix, including Piquet Premium. This exclusive grandstand is located outside turn 3, offering brilliant views of cars turning around this corner and heading toward turn 4. The area is under cover and has amenities at the back, including catering and a cash bar.
A more affordable option is the Webber grandstand, which has views across Main Straight and the V8 garages. From here you can witness the final turn and there's a superscreen located diagonally opposite for extra convenience. Food, merchandise and drinks are available from outlets nearby.
If you can't choose between all the different options, consider the 4 Corner Grandstand ticket option that gives you the chance to head to four different locations across the event. This means you can take in the race from different vantage points each day. The Brabham, Jones, Fangio and Clark packages all feature a different grandstand on a different day.
Silver GP Advantage
If you purchase your four-day Grandstand pass before 30 November 2014, you can gain access to the Silver GP Advantage program. The benefits of this include access to a behind the scenes day, a walk along the main straight, GP Advantage bar and a dedicated 'Silver Only' area. Members can also get exclusive access to promotions.
Melbourne's public transport system is well equipped to transport you to and from Albert Park. Free shuttle trams are available, and buses also frequently service the area.
