About The Festival
The festival is held annually over the Labour Day Long Weekend, 6 to 9 March 2015 at Port Fairy in Victoria, making it a popular long weekend getaway for groups of friends and familys. Tickets can be purchased online, but it's helpful to remember that the earlier you buy the tickets, the cheaper it will cost.
Listen To The Music
Discover new music favourites as you listen to the musicians in a variety of genres including folk, country, Celtic, blues, jazz and more. Watch up to 500 performances over the four days with over 450 artists sharing their unforgettable talents with you. Culture at its finest, Port Fairy Folk Festival unites groups of all levels to perform, provide workshops and classes and even stage theatre.
Walk through the market stalls, Festival Craft Fair and Food Festival for a taste of the local scene. Watch children’s faces light up as they watch Street Invaders do street performances at various times at the Festival, the Folk Circus bring joy to all who watch and see kids dance to music such as Fiddles on Fire.
The 2013 edition of the festival was one for the ages, with a variety of artists (both home-grown and international) headlining the action. Performers included members of the famed Guthrie family (Arlo, daughter Sarah Lee, and son-in-law Johnny Inion), pop group the Livingstone Daisies, acapella group the Nymphs, Kate Miller, experimental post-punk duo Buke and Gase, and bluegrass group Mustered Courage.
The 2015 version will no doubt live up to expectations!
