Truffle Kerfuffle

The Truffle Kerfuffle will be a delicious event for any food lover. This annual event will be held in Manjimup, Western Australia and will be highlighting the best of regional wine and food. This festival is all about celebrating the many cultures that produce the foods and produce that are grown in the Southern Forests. The foods themselves are also a focal point of the event — especially the black truffle. The Australian Southern Forests produce more than 70 percent of the country’s truffle harvest, so this festival is very a fitting celebration.

About Truffle Kerfuffle

This tasty festival will take place at Fonty’s Pool located on Seven Day Road in Manjimup. Festival goers will experience truffles, roasted chestnuts, cheeses, wines, vegetables, fruits, maroons, and much, much more.

You’ll be able to enjoy food stalls with plenty of delicious offerings, truffle hunts, wine tastings, and live entertainment. Other great events during the festival will be cooking demonstrations, food discussions and, kids food classes, and more. All of these festivities conclude with a five-course Southern Forest Food Bowl Truffle dinner prepared by some of the area’s top chefs.

Manjimup Attractions

Explore Fonty’s Pool, the site of the Truffle Kerfuffle. This pond is located in pristine orchard and farming country. This pool was developed in the early 1900s by Archimede Fontanini and is known for its relaxing and enjoyable ambiance.

Discover the rich history of timber in Manjimup. For instance, visit Deanmill, a working jarrah sawmill located in the historic mill district. Check out the Diamond Tree Lookout, the only wooden treetop tower in the world. This 51-metre tall karri tree will let you climb up and view the expansive vistas.

Enjoy a stroll through the 100 Year Old Forest. This area was once a wheat growing area, which was abandoned in 1867. In 1875, the forest experienced a bushfire, after which karri seeds germinated and the huge trees returned to create this beautiful forest.
