House Greyjoy of Pike

Ruling over the Iron Islands, a hard and bleak collection of forbidding islands off the west coast of Westeros, the Greyjoys sit atop their castle of Pyke. Often remaining distant from the other Great Houses of Westeros, the Greyjoys do not sow to survive, but instead, rely upon their fleet of ships to raid the cities along the western coastline. To be a Greyjoy, then you must live in your own castle built upon volcanic rock. Known locally as the ancient Castle of Aragon, this castle is considered the most impressive historical monument of Ischia, Italy. To venture into town, maraud one of the nearby ships or use the ancient bridge built in 1438 by Alfonso of Aragon.

House Lannister of Casterly Rock

Rich and ruthless is how most would describe a Lannister, and with a sigil of a golden lion on a field of crimson, they’d take it as a compliment. The Lannister fortress is carved out of a great stone hill and it is tunneled through with halls and chambers with a huge keep at its peak and a gold- producing mine still productive deep in the base. Ballyhannon Castle is among the finest Celtic castles Ireland built in the 15th century. This house features a deep spiraling staircase to multiple rooms (the castle sleeps 25) and a red theme and stone walls throughout.

House Martell of Sunspear

Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken are their words, and Unconquered would be fitting too. Secluded in the south of Westeros, their sigil of a golden spear piercing a red sun on an orange field hints to what armies encountered on their march to the region of Dorne. With the piercing hot sun and guerrilla warfare tactics in the desert, no army or man can stand a battle with this house and the deadly sand snakes it produces. To live like a Dorne then you must travel to the heart of the Uruguayan Côte d’Azur. Referred to as El Castillo, this refurbished castle is available to rent for the first time in many years; the castle overlooks a private garden, pristine beach and stunning seascape, equipped to sleep up to 16 guests.
