  • A sensitively modernised thatched cottage with many period features.

This cottage proved to be the ideal base from which my husband and I were easily able to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. Long Compton is a lovely village with many wonderful walking trails and a very welcoming pub called The Red Lion. Stonewalls cottage was comfortable and well equiped, with a delightful garden area in which we enjoyed lunches and evening drinks. The annex proved to be perfect for 2 friends who visited for a one night stay. The main cottage stairs are steep and narrow and along with the sloping bedroom floor we were reminded of the age of this building and found these features added to the buildings charm. We were quite sad to leave and would happily stay there again the next time we visit from Australia.
